Product update: Faster setup and more reliable personalization
This is one of our largest product updates so far. This release focuses on three areas: helping customers get started faster, making campaigns easier to manage, and improving the reliability of on-site personalization.
The update introduces automated page discovery, a redesigned navigation experience, improved variation editing, and several important personalization and analytics fixes.
Set up websites faster
Adding and configuring a new website in Wayby now requires significantly less manual work.
Automatically discover website pages

When a new website is added, Wayby now scans the site and presents a checklist of discovered pages. Customers can select the pages they want to track instead of adding each page individually.
This makes the initial website setup faster, particularly for larger websites with multiple landing pages.
Receive smart page suggestions
For websites that are already connected, Wayby can now identify popular pages that are not yet being tracked.
Suggested pages can be added with one click. Irrelevant suggestions can be ignored, with an undo option available in case a page is dismissed accidentally.
Find and manage campaigns more easily

Campaign management has been reorganized to make campaign status and navigation clearer.
The campaign view now includes separate tabs for:
- All campaigns
- Active campaigns
- Drafts
- Archived campaigns
Campaign cards also use status-colored borders, making it easier to understand the state of each campaign at a glance.
A redesigned sidebar

The Wayby sidebar has been updated to provide quicker access to frequently used areas.
The Campaigns section now includes a prominent Create button and quick links to the three most recently updated campaigns.
Settings have also been reorganized into three clearer levels:
- Account
- All websites
- Current website
Improved active-page highlighting makes it easier to see where you are within the platform.
A more capable variation editor

The variation editor now provides a better environment for creating and reviewing personalizations.
HTML editing includes syntax highlighting, making the structure easier to read and edit. The editor can also be opened in a full-height pop-out view, providing more working space when editing the selected website element.
Buttons within the editor now wrap more neatly on smaller screens, and elements containing custom IDs can always be selected.
Catch personalization conflicts before publishing
Wayby now detects personalizations that are incompatible with each other.
When conflicting changes are found, the variation editor displays a warning so the issue can be corrected before the variation is published.
This reduces the risk of overlapping personalizations producing unexpected results on the website.
Proactive personalization-miss notifications
We have also introduced notifications for cases where a personalization fails to apply.
This capability is currently being released through a controlled rollout. It allows personalization issues to surface proactively instead of relying solely on manual testing or customer reports.
Faster and cleaner analytics
Several improvements have been made to the way Wayby processes and sends analytics data.
Conversion queries have been optimized so analytics reports can be generated faster. Analytics and error events are also sent immediately, reducing the risk of events being dropped when a visitor leaves or navigates away from the page.
When multiple personalizations fail on the same page, they are now bundled into one analytics event instead of generating several separate events. This creates cleaner data and makes personalization issues easier to investigate.
More reliable website personalization
The release includes several fixes designed to make personalizations apply more consistently.
Link tracking no longer interrupts navigation
We fixed an issue where click tracking could interfere with outbound link navigation.
Tracking now runs in the background without delaying or blocking the visitor’s click.
Personalized images load more smoothly
A brief visual flicker could previously occur when a personalized background image loaded. This has now been removed.
We also fixed cases where website lazy-loading scripts could replace a personalized image with the original cached image.
Improved personalization timing
Personalizations now wait until the page is ready before being applied. This improves reliability on websites where elements or scripts load asynchronously.
Published variations remain published
Editing the elements of an already published variation no longer causes the variation to silently return to draft status.
More accurate A/B testing indicators
Landing-page cards now display the A/B testing badge correctly based on the publication status of the baseline variation.
What this release means for Wayby customers
This update reduces the amount of manual work required to configure websites and campaigns while giving teams more control over how personalizations are created and managed.
At the same time, improvements to event delivery, image handling, page readiness, and conflict detection make personalizations more dependable once they are published.
The release is available now for Wayby customers.
