Advanced: Creating AB test campaign

A/B testing is one of the core functionalities of the Wayby SaaS service. It allows you to systematically test different versions of your landing page content to determine what resonates best with your audience.

You can use A/B testing to:

  • Iterate headlines and messaging
  • Test different calls to action (CTAs)
  • Compare button styles or wording
  • Optimize layouts and content structure

The goal is simple: identify which variation drives the strongest performance.

What You need before starting

To run an A/B test, make sure you have:

  1. An existing campaign
  2. At least one landing page under that campaign
  3. A pre-existing variation with content changes

A/B testing builds on an existing variation — it does not start from scratch.

How to duplicate a variation for A/B testing

A/B testing in Weibai is powered by duplication.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Campaign
  2. Open the relevant Landing Page
  3. Locate the variation you want to test (e.g., Variation A)
  4. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of that variation
  5. Select Duplicate

The system will prompt you to confirm that you want to create a copy of the selected variation.

Once confirmed:

  • You now have two separate variations
  • Both are initially identical
  • Each can now be edited independently

Creating Multiple Test Variations

You can duplicate variations as many times as needed.

For example:

  • Variation A (original)
  • Variation B (duplicate of A with new CTA)
  • Variation C (duplicate of A with new headline)
  • Variation D (duplicate of A with different button text)

All variations originate from the same baseline variation, but each can be customized differently.

Editing duplicated variations

After duplicating, click the variation editing view(the pen) on each variation and make the necessary changes.

Typical A/B test modifications include:

  • Rewriting the headline
  • Adjusting tone of voice
  • Changing button text
  • Testing urgency-driven messaging
  • Modifying value propositions

Random changes without a structured testing approach rarely produce actionable insights.

With this process, you can quickly create and manage multiple A/B test variations for your landing pages and continuously optimize your marketing performance based on real user behavior.
